The Discover Scuba Dive Experience

Want to try scuba for the first time? Not sure you want to commit to a full course yet, or short on time?

Then the Discover Scuba Dive experience is the right choice for you. Get a taste of what scuba diving is like. You will learn about the underwater environment and how to move safely through it.

There is no prior experience needed. Just look forward to getting yourself wet and taking your first breath underwater surrounded by fish (minimum age 10).

We have two very different new worlds for you to choose to explore: the ocean or the cenote!

Playa del Carmen Coral Reef

Discover Scuba Diving on the coral reefs of Playa del Carmen

Playa's reefs offer a great abundance of life: huge schools of grunts you can swim through, massive green moray eels lurking in holes and stingrays playing in the sand.

What Makes Diving with Us Different?

Small Guided Groups

Maximum 4:1 diver-to-instructor ratio — better attention, easier communication and a more controlled experience underwater.

We Take Our Time

No rushing through the pool session. You go to the ocean when you feel ready, not when the clock says so.

Safety Comes First

We brief properly, choose sites carefully and keep conservative safety standards. You should feel looked after before, during and after the dive.

Premium Gear Included

Well-maintained top-brand equipment, sized for you and checked carefully before every dive — at no extra cost.

Ready to take your first breath underwater?

Small groups, patient instructors and all equipment included. Tell us your dates.

Is trying scuba right for you?

If you tick most of these boxes, the Discover Scuba Dive is the easiest way to breathe underwater for the first time.

You Have Never Dived Before

No experience needed. If you can relax in the water, you can do this.

You Are Short on Time

One day is all it takes to go from non-diver to having done two real scuba dives.

You Are Coming as a Couple or Family

Minimum age 10, and small groups so nobody feels rushed or left behind.

You Want to See Something Unforgettable

Turtles, rays, moray eels and huge schools of fish — or the dancing light beams of the Mayan cenotes.

You Are a Little Nervous

We start in a pool and your instructor is beside you for every minute of both dives.

You Are Thinking About a Course

The perfect first step before committing to the Open Water course.

Remember: this is a supervised experience, not a certification. If you want the freedom to dive unsupervised with your favourite buddy, take a look at our PADI Open Water course.

If you have any medical condition affecting your heart, lungs or ears, message us before booking and we will tell you honestly what is possible.
