From mid-November to mid-March, pregnant female bull sharks gather in the warm, clear waters off Playa del Carmen - a breathtaking natural spectacle. At Jaguar Divers, we conduct these dives with top safety standards and highly experienced guides, ensuring every moment is managed with care and professionalism.
We observe these magnificent animals without feeding or baiting, respecting their natural behaviour and minimising human impact on their environment. This is a purely observational, eco-conscious dive - a powerful and humbling encounter with one of the ocean’s most majestic species.

You Are an Advanced Diver

What Your Playa del Carmen Dive Day Looks Like
Times below are for a morning trip. Afternoon trips meet at 12:30 PM
- 7:30 AM
Meet at Jaguar Divers
You meet your guide at our shop in Playa del Carmen, confirm your certification, prepare your gear and get fitted if you are renting equipment.
- 8:00 AM
Briefing and short walk to the boat
Full dive briefing: sites, depth, route, signals and safety procedures. The reefs are close, so there is no ferry and no long transfer.
- 8:30 AM
Shark Dive!
Around 30 minutes at Shark Point (a marine park precaution to protect the sharks). Then we drift with the current, watching the sharks swimming further afield. With a maximum of 4 divers per guide.
- 9:45 AM
Surface interval
Rest, hydrate and talk through the plan for the second dive with your guide.
- 10:30 AM
Second guided reef dive
A reef site, chosen on the day according to conditions and how the group dived the first tank.
- 12:00 PM
Back on shore
Back with time for lunch, the beach, cenotes, family plans or a relaxed afternoon in town.
